Below I have attached the Layout/Storyboard for our presentation. Each box represents a slide on our Prezi. Please let me know if you have any comments or suggestions!

Dear Faith and Laura,

Below I have attached the script for our presentation. I haven't decided who will say what yet, but it has all of the information that we will use layed out in order of how the Prezi is. Please notify me if I need to add anything to it, I made sure that all of the info needed to be able to answer Laura's Homework Questions is in it. I will read it through a few times and time myself to make sure that it is within the 10-15 minute range.

Laura: For the little half sheet that you are creating, it might be easiest for students to fill it out if it goes in the same order as the info in the presentation. You can read through the script and put all of the fill in the blancs in the same order if you would like.

Dear Faith and Laura,

Now that we are ALL supposed to work on the Presentation part together and assign each other little jobs, I have come up with those jobs! The Presentation segments is the largest after all and Mr. Mlsna wants work to be divided up evenly. Here are the jobs:

Faith:
  1. Create a demo to be presented by the three of us using your excersise ball. Talk about how using this ball in different ways can help with back problems and posture
  2. Create a list of materials that we will need for the presentation and make sure that we have everything needed.

-My demo is called Exercise Ball Therapy for low back pain relief
Equipment for this exercise is
  • Exercise ball
  • Stretchy band
  • Open space
  1. Get out your exercise ball or sometimes also known as the Swiss ball or physio ball. And make sure you have a nice open space.
  2. Sit on it, with your back straight, and feet touching the floor, knees at about a 90 degree angle.
  3. While still sitting grab a stretching band, what kind depends on your strength and how much correction you need, and hold it in both hands. About a shoulder with apart out in front of you.
  4. Then move your arms out and in, or away from you, and towards you.
  5. Repeat and do as many reps as desired, or prescribed.
-My next demo is also for lower back pain relief.
Equipment for this exercise is
  • Exercise ball
  • Open space
  1. Get out your exercise ball, and make sure you have plenty of room around you.
  2. Kneel onto the floor next to your exercise ball. Put your hands about a shoulder length apart touching the ball.
  3. Pull yourself up onto the exercise ball, staying on your stomach, so when in position you are flat on your stomach laying on your ball with your hands on the sides.
  4. Next lift one leg up off of the ground, and the opposite arm off of the ground. An example is, if I lift my right leg off of the ground, my left arm would go off of the ground to, it's opposites.
  5. Hold that position for about 5 seconds and release, then do the other sets of opposites.
  6. Make sure you can hold it and that your feet and arms can touch the ground, if not you do not have the right size ball.
  7. One last things keep your legs and arms VERY straight! When you start out you won't be able to lift them up very far, but as long as you keep them straight, you will only get better!
List of materials
-Exercise balls (3) I have one for myself... and one super big one, which wont help
-Stretchy bands (3) I have 2
-Weights (3-6) I have 4 of them, two 3 pounds and two 5 pounds
-Half sheet with Q's blanks from moodle quiz (16-how every many people in our science class) We will print them out.

Laura:
  1. Create a demo to be presented by the three of us using weights and stretchy bands. Talk about how using these can help with strengthening.
  2. Create a half sheet fill in the blank that students will take notes on during the presentation. Make sure it covers al info needed to complete the MOODLE quiz you created!
  3. 1 exercise for each form of equipment: stretchy bands and weights

Bicep Curls with stretchy bands:
  1. place stretchy band under feet
  2. hold one handle in each hand
  3. pull upwards until your fists meet with your chest

Overhead Press
  1. Stand on stretchy band and hold handles
  2. Bring hands up just past shoulders with your elbows and palms bent inward
  3. Bring arms up over head and lower

Mary:

  1. Demo (Stretching and Braces):

  2. Pronation: The rotational movement of your forearm in which your hand ends up facing down.
    (All: perform movement)
Supination: The rotational movement of your forearm in which your hand ends up facing up.
    (All: perform movement)
Flexion: The bending of a join or limb such as when you bend your elbow in towards your shoulder.
    (All: perform movement)
Extension: The act of extending ones arm.
    (All: perform movement)
Static Stretching: When you pull a limb to its end point and hold it for 20-60 seconds.
    (All: perform movement)
Dynamic Stretching: When you take a muscle through its full range of flexibility. (warm up)
    (All: perform movement)
Passive Stretching: When someone else stretches your limbs.
(Laura will stretch out Faith’s arm.
    )
  3. Find and gather pictures to be displayed during the presentation. Also include X-rays so students can see an example of how bones look before an injury, directly after an injury, and after injury is treated.
